Directx problem

When i open up either multiplayer or single player it loads the cod2 picture and then an error message comes up saying

DirectX(R) encountered an unrecoverable error.
Check the DirectX(R) FAQ for possible solutions

But i do everything in the FAQ but it still won't work and i have downloaded the new DirectX lots of times.

ANYONE HELP ME!!!!!!!

GEFORCE FX 5200 might not support DirectX 9.0c.;
i will check on this and get back to you soon
in the meantime::
try to reinstall the game and have it install its own DirectX program (i should have a installer) and try again
Also, albeit very rarely, a virus may be the cause. if the above does not work, try to run a virus scan- www.trendmicro.com and look around for "housecall"

It is capable of handling DirectX 9.0
you may also try downloading the latest drivers for it
