Heck, I know several that would have flamed you big time for asking this question.......and possibly would have banned you from the boards for it too..
Other than that, nope there isn't another one like us anywhere on this planet.... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Now, guys, I know that all of our regulars are not entirely monogamous! I can't remember, though, the name of the "other" forum that TJay once recommended to me...too long ago. I did go and look at it, way back, but it wasn't as "easy" to use as ours. I am lazy.. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif ..and prefer the Today's format, and the way Charles and Pete have the main forum set up..just real easy to click on and read without having to keep clicking on links ("inside" the thread) and then maybe going Back or Forward or whatever. I too believe that "here" must be the best...but really, being honest about it, it's not like I have really checked anywhere else. I found "here" and I am staying "here." I adore the people "here"... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Jude3085 : If you were serious in your question, you could probably try something like "tech support forums" or something similar in the Google box. I was really desperate when I found "here" the first time, and I remember that the way I found this forum was by entering "PC HELP!" in a search box somewhere... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think most of u missunderstood my question. I am trying to say that if i had 2 forums or more i have double the info. And i wasn't putting down this forum. I simply said is there anyother forum like this one? KEY WORD "LIKE".I don't think thats insulting.

It's okay...I don't think anyone was serious in their "huffy"...relax. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I am still trying to remember which one that was...think it might have been PC Mag (http://discuss.pcmag.com/n/main.asp?webtag=pcmag&nav=start) ...but if you go there, you will see what I was fussing about above. On my browser, their ads/banners are HUGE, and the actual forum is a tiny part of the bottom of my screen.
I understand what you're trying to say...the more minds working on some problem, the better, right? On the other hand, you have to understand that we obviously think that we have the best minds here!

Look (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000498.html).
Tom's Hardware (http://www.community.tomshardware.com/community/wwwthreads.pl) also has some knowledgeable people on their boards.
But for me, this is home. And home's still best. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

I agree with Kay, the grass is greener on this side of the hill. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif
I did a google a little while back to see if there was any mirror sites (similar to this one (http://www.pcguide.com)) and came up with this (http://www.deviantpc.com/forums/index.php) but the format leaves a little to be desired...

Journey on through ages gone, to the centre of the earth.
Past rocks of quartz and granite, which gave mother nature birth.
Burial ground of ancient man, his life no more is seen.
A journey through his time unknown, I wonder where he's been.
The shore now gone behind the hills, a forest in our sight,
Rocks and distant mountains, bathed in waves of blinding light.
Forests from a far gone time, no living man has seen,
A private prehistoric world, for you and I, a dream...

Actually the general PC help forums have been pretty much covered by the others, but if you need some specific help there are some that specialize in things like CD-R (http://club.cdfreaks.com/), broadband internet (http://www.dslreports.com/forums/2)....

Jude: I seriously doubt that anyone was the least bit insulted, if they had been I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have seen all those grinning smilie faces all over this topic.

hehe
I'm sure you can find other forums of this type, plenty are out there, but generally the people here have a tendency to set up housekeeping for the long run once they get started, and I'm sure some of them don't have any time left after a night here...I sure don't...I sometimes wonder if some of these folks ever sleep... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
The best I can tell you is the same as the others have, try google...you might not find anything as good as what you'll find right here, but others are available and we don't mind if you check them out too. I've stumbled across good information on other forums for answering posts here occasionally, when they show up in a search...

Years ago, I would go fishing with a friend. I am an impatient fisherwoman, so would throw my worm into the water and catch the same perch (probably) over and over..and have fun. (Okay, not so fun for the perch or the worm. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) My friend, however, was most serious about fishing and would have several lines in the water to catch bass big enough to take home to eat. Think that's all Jude wants...more than one line in the water.
I finally remembered the name of that other forum recommended to me. It's PC911 (http://www.pcnineoneone.com/forum.html). Recently someone recommended I check one of the "speciality" forums...amdmsi.com, I think..but I ran into the same "Do you want to install Machromedia Flash 6" message at the amdmsi forum as I just did on the above forum..the PC911. You may already have the required software..but just throwing that in for those, like me, still using "older."

I agree; never found anything like here. The only thing I would add is that for software troubleshooting (especially after a new upgrade) it can be most informative to check out a Newsgroup for that specific software. The ability to manipulate newsgroups easily is the only thing I really like about OE. But the company you will keep will never be comparable to here.
