Ok so today I tried to log into my account on the Windows Xp start-up which has worked fine for the past few nights as well as this morning.
However, this time it gave me some message when I clicked my log-in which I didnt completely read, but it said something along the lines of unable to find my account and put me to a temporary account which its pretty much the default account without all my documents.
I received this message awhile back but restarted my computer and my account went back to normal. However, Ive tried that for awhile now and its not showing any signs of coming back.
I have Windows Xp HOme Edition and if anyone can help it would be appriciated.

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums.

I won't yell at you now, but ignoring warnings from Windows is usually a sign you are heading for a crisis.

Please post any messages you get. Also see if you can browse to your files with Windows Explorer or through My computer.

Post back with your results...

I would make a folder called data and copy the documents to the new folder.
You may have to take ownership of the files in order to copy them. Please read this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421) link to learn the process.

Once the files have been copied, please delete the old user account and create a new one. I would leave the files in the data folder and there should be no issues with the user account. You can point the my documents folder to c:\data.
