I am installing a new mobo (ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium) after all components installed, fired it up and......nothing. everything turns on, but no POST no beep no video no kiss on the cheek.. just nuttin. fans spin, mobo lights and front panel lights come on, but that's it. tried barebones, reset CMOS and reseating cards. (Throwing it against the wall is my only option) Any ideas?

Welcome to PC Guide cbritt84.

Make sure all power leads to the mobo and graphic card are connected firmly.

Also check for Bad Capacitors (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25482).

I know you have tried one...barebones boot using only power supply, motherboard (out of the case on cardboard - and connect the power switch from front of case), one stick of memory/RAM, cpu+heatsink and graphic card,

Does it boot ?

If not then the problem is one of the above parts.

If it boots add back your parts one at a time rebooting after each part.

Does it boot ?

Have you tried reseating your CPU? That has worked for me in the past.

Bare-bones boot with NO RAM, no video card connected...
i.e. PSU, mobo, CPU+heatsink+fan, internal speaker, on-switch [or short the pins on the mobo]...
If the POST runs & tests & warns you should get warning beeps that the 1st RAM test is failing.
Fit the video card and you should still get the RAM test warning beep.
Fit one stick of RAM and their should now be no RAM warning beep.

If the RAM test are now passing during POST, but POST is still not completing [no video display, no single short beep], then some step is halting the POST after that point [probably a failure to initialise the video card].
Is the video card the right type to match the default BIOS configuration setting?
