Computer slows after ebay surfing

A friend browses through eBay and says that the longer she's on the slower the computer gets.

Discounting over heating, what say you?

What is the computer? What OS? What kind of maintenance has been performed on it?

Does she have a billion TIF's that never get cleared? The hard drive could be full or near enough to affect performance.

Also other underlying problems we are not aware of.

Not sure about computer info but I'm going to "clean her up" a bit and see how she does.
