laptop mousepad not working

hi.:) .can you help.i took my laptop apart to get to the fans not the easyist thing to do..had to take out a lot of very small screws and disconect a few wires. and i very sure that i put all back as it was but when i turned my laptop back on the mousepad was not working:( but every else is going better than ever.i went into the control panel and there notting there..i clicked on the mouse in control panel and no sign of mousepad only ubs mouse.i download the synaptics pointing device hopeing that will help but the only thing that i got was device setting but there is notting to set is there something i forgot our did i mess up when i took it apart. plese help;) ty

It's likely that you pulled the touchpad wires loose or did not plug them back in correctly... In view of the fact that you did not make any software changes and it worked immediately before (right?).

We'll need to know what brand and model to help any further.
