The A+ test has changed this year. As far as I understand, win3.x is out and Win2000 is in. Some NT as well. However, all those fabulous free test web sites (brainbench.com, examnotes.com, even learnit.com) are all still offering the older testing info. Has anyone come accross a web site that is up to date? I am currently a student at Masters Institute (online) and they are still making us grind away with win 3.1 stuff!!! They have added in some Win 2000, but it is minimal preparation for what is listed in CompTia's objectives for the new A+ cert test. I am looking for a reliable free testing source to practice up. Might as well toss out my older software since so much of it is now obsolete! (still good to know yes, but I am have limited time to study!) Thanks! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't know the answer to your question, but you might check some links through brainbuzz.com.

Hi Kenja & thanks for your post. Brainbuzz is a really cool site and I have been spending time there lately but their tests are also geared to the old Win3.1/DOS. Bummer. Guess it is just going to take a while for everyone to get things updated.

Yup, the A+ exams changed as of Jan.30th 2001. It is to my understanding that there is a 60 day grace period. This means you can take the test on the 1998 objectives until March 30th.

A Plus has updated their practice exams to include Win2K, Win98, and they have also update networking quesitons and binary quesitons. There isn't a lot, but there is a change. check it out.
