The purpose of screen savers were to prevent burn-in. Well, i googled the subject and i was told that screen savers are no longer needed to prevent burn-in.

I ask because my boss wants to use the screen saver to display necessary company information we all need to know. He wants to take a relaxing screen saver and make us work--using it for training.

I think it might be a great idea. But when i'm taking a quick break the last thing i want showing up on my screen is more work.

Will this work? I told him i will give him a reply within a day. I don't see why not but i thought i would ask you guys to be sure.

Screensavers for burn in protection are no longer needed with modern monitors.

I agree that screen savers are no longer necessary. However, in your case, let me say something that my boss used to tell me: "The boss may not always be right, but the boss is always the boss.":)
