Making a video game movie

My friend and I are planning on making a "real-life" video game with a video camera of course. But we have no clue where to start. Anyone have any ideas?:(

You will need something like 3ds max to compile the images
-A free version exists called "GMAX" at turbosquid
-look at a program called the "The NEVERHOOD" and how that was made (it was built by claymation)
Is that what you are trying to do?

I would make a slide show style, it would be the easyist, with some "cutscenes" sprinkled...

Unless you are trying to put a video game to a movie- like "Mario"

if you are looking to do anything fancy like CGI, then take a look at Blender (Which was used in the initial rendering of Spiderman 2) which is FREE:)

:D.. Have you seen College Saga? Search for it.. it's a real life thing based on final fantasy.. it is soooo awesome!!

Maybe you could contact them and find out what they used?
