I have a gateway 2wire. Its a great system for my DSL but it only has 4 Ethernet ports. Is it possible to connect another hub to the 2wire so I can add more ports that have access to the INTERNET through the new hub. Can I just put a cable from one to the other or do I have to do something special?
Thank You,

I would add a switch over a hub, depending on the switch, it may have a port for daisy chaining devices or auto sense a switch port that needs flipped. If the switch doesn't have these features then a crossover cable would be needed. Crossover cables are for linking similar devices like a PC or switch. But most new switches have a crossover port with a buton to switch it from a normal port to a crossover or they auto sense and flip it for you.
