The simpliest way to create a custom screen saver is to place the images you want in the My Pictures folder and they will display.

But what if you want to just display certain images and you don't want users to change it. For a 300 employee company, if we directed the screen saver to the My Pictures folder, there will be tons of other pictures and our plan will not work.

Is there cheap or FREE software we can use to create a simply screen saver?

Thanks!

The My Pictures Slide Show Screensaver uses My Pictures by default but if you go to its settings you can specify any folder of your choice including a network share.

Great! My only concern then is if the next work goes down. Does it cach the images locally somehow or will the screen saver not work?

thanks!

if the network goes down it will not be able to access the pictures...

but how often does your network go down? and it is only a screensaver.... This method will allow you to easily change the photos as well, instead of having to update software on everyone's computers.

thanks. I'm just weighing the pros and cons.

Thanks for the info.
