I paid a guest visit to my friend's office. He told me that his machine is too slow in responding. As a guest, I just saw this Kaspersky Anti Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations program was running and also AVG Anti-Spware was running. I simply closed the Kaspersky program and the moment i did the machine began to run smoothly. But later I ran the program before leaving.
This is the first time I'm hearing of Kaspersky so what really happen ? :)
What do you want to now? It is a well respected and rated AV program. But if AVG was also running an AV product (I know they have an AV and anti-spyware) then they might conflict.

FYI, you can adjust the intensity of the KAV 6.0 on a PC to lighten it up and still have it scan everything. If set too high it may cause slow page loads and such.

KAV will make your computer slower, it scan everything and take the most of them as Spyware or Virus,in fact some of them is not the spyware or Virus .

That's fine and thank you. If you become an established member of the forums posting such links would not be problematic but you wouldn't believe the number of attempts we get by newcomers coming here just to promote themselves or specific software.

I have been using Kaspersky (Personal 5.x) for almost two years. The only time it slows anything down is right after boot--checking for updates--and while running a full system scan. Even then, it's not all that bad. I would not rule out conflicts with other programs (e.g., anti-spyware, etc). That's been known to happen with other products.
As for this:
KAV will make your computer slower, it scan everything and take the most of them as Spyware or Virus,in fact some of them is not the spyware or Virus .
That's just a bunch of crap. It has never happened to me or anyone I know who uses Kaspersky.

Hello mike300, and welcome tohttp://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!
The question posed in this thread had to do with Kaspersky. You've responded with a link to a site rather than addressing the Kaspersky question. I deem this SPAM and have munged the link.

Kaspersky anti virus and AVG anti virus are both good anti virus. The only difference is Kaspersky is paid version but the other isn't. From my two cents, paid software is not necessary better than freeware. :)

There are other differences, and generally Kaspersky rates better on tests. AVG also has a pay version with more functionality.

Kaspersky and NOD32 are two pay AVs that are both excellent choices. They score well year after year in comparatives and in real world feedback from users.
The free version AVs like AVG and AVAST and Antivir have pay versions as well, whether you choose the free or pay business model for home use is up to you.
Don't fall into the trap of bashing someone's choice one way or the other. At least they are trying to stop viruses and worms, a good thing indeed.
