I was wondering if the MCSE can be done by self-study. As I need to stay in work (bills to pay & all that)& really like to study at home & set up my own home lab. Can this be done?
thanks

Stacyk,
Although I have not taken any MCSE exams, I have taken Windows 2000 Pro at a community college and found it challenging. However, I do believe if you have the correct lab setup at home, 2000 Server and Pro, you can gain sound working knowledge of the products. Enough knowledge that you pass the exams and have some hands on experience.

Hi stacyk, You might like to have a look at www.examnotes.com (http://www.examnotes.com) and especially at the training videos. I rate these as good as any classes Ive taken.Good luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

A home network IMHO is the best way to go!! Most Cert test can't be passed unless you have builtup some "hands-on" time. I would spend an hour or two each day in the lab doing what you read about in the books and combine that with some sort of test simulation software. (The software helps to point out your weak spots).
That's the way I do it and I've had some very good results so far.
Good Luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
