Power Point 2002

I try to open jpg, bmp or gif picture files in PP2002 and get an error message that "PP can't open the files. Try another one". I have tried others and even copied the file. PP still will not open a graaphic file.

What am I doing wrong?

Are you using "File-->Insert-->image-->image from location"?

or just right clicking on a .jpg file and "open with-->Power point"?
