Help w/ making bootable Windows XP cd

I have windows XP pro and want to install it on my new pc. I put in the disk I made and it comes up with a failure to boot. Do I just burn the iso file onto the cd to boot it? Any help is appreciated.

Is this a genuine Window XP cd ?
Are you trying to make a slipstream cd ?

You need to buy legit software. ISO is a CD image which needs special software to actually write to the CD.

As already mentioned, is this a new slipstream made from a genuine and known working CD? What process did you follow to make it?
