Money 99 & windows XP

Hello
I have installed Money 99 from the Microsoft Works CD onto a laptop running
Windows XP. When I start the program however I get 'The ordinal 6467 could
not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42.dll'. I have googled and
searched the Microsoft knowledge base but nothing was very helpful. Could anyone help me to solve this problem please?

Could it be that money has overwritten a new version of the file.

sfc /scannow
from the run box (you will need to have an xp installation CD handy)
