A person can place themselves on all kinds of certification-related mailing lists. My favorite is Emmett Dulaney's newsletter (http://www.certificationcorner.com/). This month's issue seems especially informative.

Highlights: The Microsoft Win2k "basic seven" exams are 25% off if you "sit" by August 31. The required passing score for 70-210 (Professional) has been lowered. (My take: this is to sucker people into taking the whole Win2k series; the exam isn't that tough.) The Network+ exam is being revised, and Compaq has raised the status of Server+.

thats cool, but beware of which email addy you submit to these groups.

I made the mistake of giving "BrainBuzz" my primary email (not the one listed in my sig).. and have difficulty getting them to stop mailing me.

give them a yahoo, msn, or hotmail that you check daily.

Good point. After giving some cert-related site my address, I got spammed with offers for a university degree: "No classes to attend, just call and give us your credit card number!".
