People persuing IT certificates are prime candidates for installing multiple operating systems on a single computer, so I'm posting this link (http://www.mcmcse.com/win2k/guides/multiboot.shtml) here.

A clarification: When the author says "You will always go back to your default OS when installing NT or W2K." he means "You will always go back to your default OS partition when installing NT or W2K." (because that's where boot.ini, etc. will be).

Well, I decided things have been going too smoothly of late, so I ordered Red Hat Linux CDs today. I plan to make use of this article: Dual Booting Linux using Win2K Boot Loader (http://www.littlewhitedog.com/reviews_other_00011.asp) at littlewhitedog.com.

I'll only have one DOS-based OS on my computer, so I wasn't planning on using the PowerQuest "...Magic" programs.

Been doing a little research in preparation before installing Linux, and found PartitionMagic and/or BootMagic Might Not Mix with Linux (http://mozillaquest.com/stories_01/PQMagicWarning-01/pm-warning_01_Story-01-1.html).

Any true firewall could do this. That seems a far easier and more complete way of implementing it than with something that's "inside" a browser. Rather than looking at software that's billed as filter software, I'd investigate firewalling applications; you're likely to find much more versatility. I know the shareware version of ZA won't let you specify individual hosts/networks, but maybe there's something else out there that can? Does windows have anything like Linux's ipchains? But I suppose it depends how deep into the details you want to get.....

. . . Um, sorry. . . .

I was in one forum, hit Reply, and my message ended up in this one! I'm not sure what I did to cause such a thing!

Thanks for the explanation, I would have been quite puzzled otherwise.
