reformatting problem

Hi trying to reformat go into set up change first boot device to cd drive, than when it reboots comes up to cd and sometimes says push key to start process but doesn't go there. Have done this before with this disc no problems tried same process on my other pc same problem. I do have copy of this disc which has same problem, when i enter windows and put xp disc in it picks it up no problems. thks fror any help neil

Clean the XP CD's with a soft cloth, and make sure there are no scratches on them.

Do you have an USB keyboard? If so, try a PS/2 keyboard.
