Hi boots,
You're getting close http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif.
A frame is a measured in Kb's or Mb's rather than width x height.
The memory required by each frame is determined by the resolution
ie. 800 x 600 and the colour depth ie. 24 bit colour.
(800 x 600 x 24)= 11520000 bits
= 1440000 bytes
= 1406 Kb
= 1.37 Mb per frame.
I hope this gives you an idea but to fully understand it you will need to figure out what generates each frame, where it is stored and how it is transfered to the monitor. Also don't confuse frame rates with refresh rates, they are very different. Read the Video Card (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/video/index.htm) section of The PC Guide for the answers to any other questions you have. It's worth it. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
