I just became A+ Certified today. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I was happy with my core exam but my OS score was low to me so I was a bit disappointed in myself. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif But I'm happy I passed overall.
I feel great and want to start down the road for the Net+ Certification.
I used the Mike Myers book along with the Transcender software which really helped when it came to the A+ test so I know how important a guide can be.
Can anyone suggest a good Network Plus Guide to study to take the test?

I became Net + certified earlier this year. I used a sysbex 2nd edition and wasn't too thrilled with how prepared I was for the exam. In contrast, I felt the Meyers book did a great job for A+.
The other advice I can give you is be real careful of the editions you use. Don't only check the copyright year, check the month if you can (many of the online stores list the month as well). If you get some of your study materials from a library, they may have slightly older editions which may hurt your prep. Also, be wary in mall bookstores - don't assume if it's on the shelf there it's current.
Good luck

I have the Sybex book, the 2001 edition. I don't know the month.
I was thinking about checking out the Meyers Net + guide book, but it didn't get as good reviews as the Sybex one or his A+ guide.
I've heard of exam cram helping - but I don't know about it.

I passed the Network+ a year and a half ago. My only resource was the Syngress boxed set, and I didn't even look at the Practice Exam volume.
Seemed pretty good to me, but you might take a look at Microsoft's offering, based on Amazon's (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/193979/ref=br_bx_c_2_4/102-6034004-5381720) listing.

My father is an instructor at a computer technical school and got the Course Technology Network + Guide to Networks.
Its thiiiiiiiiiiiiick. But its an good read. I can read it longer than the sybex book. And it includes 2002 objectives.
I hope this one is good. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
