Is it better to do MCSA than MCSE????

No.The MCSE is still the top MS networking cert. You also run the risk that no one will be looking for or know what a MCSA is.

It's also possible that, like Novell's CNA or the MCP, you can earn your MCSA while your taking the same tests to earn your MCSE.

I agree.
I would say that most employers are more aware of the MSCE as a qualifying industry cert.
Also, you don't want someone asking you... say, why didn't you take those three extra tests for that MSCE?
One good thing is that you can get the MCSA on your way to getting the MCSE.

I have found through many years in the industry that all MS certs are rapidly losing their value. Simply put, there are too many 'paper MCSEs/MCSAs' out there to take them seriously.

My recommendation is to get Cisco certs. They do a far better job of teaching networking skills and are much more sought after.

Good Luck!
