I am a bit confused on the A+ Cert. I have just started the formating my schedule as to where I will begin.
My first scenario was to purchase the latest edition of : A+ Certification book by M. Meyers. Using this book plus the PC forum's and alot of other equipment, old computers et cetra.
My question is the questions on the Operating System configuration etc.
As I look in Meyers book I notice he relates to Windows 3.x? and also Win 95. But from my knowledge of others doing the exam they used Win 2000 Pro?
Is Meyers a little out on the operating systems?
Thank you..

No...a lot of what is in those chapters still applies to 2k, it is the principles that matter. Plus there are many more systems out there running those "outdated" OS than there are running the newer ones (considering by the end of this year almost everything other than 2k and XP will be on the "outdated" list). He does spend a good portion of the book discussing 2k and often relating/comparing it to the other ones (95 etc)...
