Hey guys, i have a little problem here. I want to upgrade the memory on my notebook which is a Compaq Presario V2000 that i customized. CPU AMD Turion ML-37 and i already have 1gb (2x512mb) of ram. i already bought the wrong set of memories but managed to sell them. i made some research and according to all the things i read and memory configurators out there (which are all for the intel-cpu-powered-type-of compaq presarios v2000), my computer needs PC2700 ddr 333mhz type of memory.

i was about to buy a pair of Corsair System Select 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz SODIMM Memory but i'm not entirely sure if they will fit my laptop

i wanted to get the pc3200 because are faster than the pc2700 but if they won't fit, i would have to get the pc2700's

thank you for your help :D

You can use the pc3200, but they will only run as fast as pc2700, that's the fastest your laptop supports. Sometimes you can find the faster ram cheaper even though you need a slower speed.
