Hi, I have a gateway MX6124 notebook.
I am going crazy trying to find a replacement keyboard connector clip. This is a small white clip that secures the keyboard ribbon cable to the motherboard. I called gateway and they were no help.
Someone please help.

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums.
If Gateway doesn't have the part I honestly don't know what to tell you. Maybe you can find an old junk one on ebay or the like for cheap and pick the part off.
Not remembering that model particularly, I do believe it really isn't a replaceable part. It's most likely a part of the motherboard and would require the mobo to be replaced to fix it.
It's one of those kind that the cable is thin and slides in. Then the clip kind of folds over it, or slide on it, right? If it is I would think if nothing else you could find some way to secure it. Rubber band... anything non-metallic should work.
