Motherboard: ESC 945P-A v3.0
Processor: Intel Pentium D 2.80 GHz, 800 Mhz FSB, Dual-Core
RAM: 2 GB (2 X 1) DDR Supertalent Dual Channel. 667 speed
Video: Tried a Radeon X800 GTO, and a GeForce 5200 FX.

I got this motherboard today and I have all the RAM and the Processor is put in correctly, but the computer will not hold the BIOS for more than a minute.

The computer will start up, beep twice, and detect the processor and the RAM, and on the screen it'll say the stuff about detecting Processors, RAM, USB.
It'll then say "CMOS Setting Wrong. Date/Time not set".

When I try to set the date/time by pressing F1, I only have a few seconds until it'll shut off.

I've looked through here a bit, and at the ECS website for help solving this. I've tried changing the jumper to 1+2 for 30 seconds, then switching it back to 2+3. It hasn't worked. (and to be honset, I don't know what it's doing).

My next option is taking the damn thing out and throwing it against the wall.

Anyone know what's going on? I'm pretty sure all the parts are compatible with each other.

have you tried to replace the CMOS battery on the mobo?

Your MB has an AMI BIOS, and 2 beeps indicates a hardware failure. If you're getting a CMOS error message, then try alternate's suggestion to replace the CMOS battery. If that does not help, then the MB is probably bad. RMA it for a new one.
