Did you save the change in BIOS?

i've been doing some research and was wondering if i updated the bios to version gc11010n.86a.0313, thats the latest one, if that will solve my problem?

When you say XP doesn't load, can you explain a bit more? Exactly what happens as you boot into XP, what do you see?

As for updating your bios, personally I'd try to resolve what happened first before messing with a bios change. It was working, so it should work again with the original bios.

Did the message say that you had to reactivate Windows?

How much RAM does the PC have in total?
Can 128 MB be spared?
Would there be enough left to satisfy the Windows minimum hardware requirements?
Which Windows version are you running?
