i'm trying to connect my laptop to my surround sound receiver so i can watch movies in 5.1, but the only HD output on my laptop is a 3.5mm SPDIF (headphone size) output.. since it can output spdif and my receiver will take it, do i just need an adapter from the 3.5 to coax to get surround sound?
