Built my PC about 6 mos ago to use as a video source & working pc. Pertinent detail is vid card is POWERCOLOR X800GTO256MBDDR3 Radeon X800GTO 256-bit PCI Express x16 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814131007 ). Just bought a Panny TH-58PX600U, which I plan to use to view dl'd videos playing on the PC via Nero Home. PC is connected to the plasma's HDMI 2 input via the vid card's DVI output, using a DVI/HDMI cable. After some futzing in ATI Catalyst Control Center 1.2.2171.2074, I have the plasma cloning whatever is on the main monitor & displaying it fine. BUT, if I turn off the plasma, OR EVEN JUST CHANGE ITS input (e.g., from HDMI 2 to DVD or antenna) I have to reboot the PC in order to once again have the Panny display the cloned PC screen. Kind of a PITA. Is there any way to avoid this? Any suggestions appreciated. Also, is there a way to set a different resolution for the PC monitor & the plasma? The monitor is not wide screen (IBM Thinkvision L171) so in order to get the best image on the plasma, the pic on the monitor is a bit elongated vertically. Resolution is set at 1280 x 720 w/75hz refresh rate.

TIA
Fred

I just updated to ATI's Catalyst 2007.06.13.1506.25058, and now I seem able to turn the plasma off & then back on, or change to a different input, then go back to HDMI & get the PC (I say SEEM because, in my experience, the minute you conclude you've tackled one of this annoyances it rears its ugly head AGAIN! :D ). Only other thing I changed was to go from HDMI input 2 to HDMI input 1 on the panny, but I doubt this would have an effect.
