System Error

I have a friend's Toshiba Satellite laptop here. When it's first turned on, it beeps continuously until the XP splash screen comes up. I called the Toshiba support line and of course they charge for tech support since the system is out of warranty. My only guesses are a keyboard error or a RAM error. I wanna be sure before i begin to break apart the computer to see what the real deal is. Anyone got any ideas???

Go to Toshiba's support website and do a search for the beep codes. I looked to see if they had generic beeps codes but it seems it is more model specific, and without the specific model I couldn't find much of anything.
