I've got my PC built. When I turn it on, it reboots every two to five seconds. It gets to the main screen where it tells me my processor, then reboots after 1 second of seeing that. Not even enough time to go into the bios.
After 4 or 5 times, the computer just shuts down.

Please, any wisdom.

Start by checking for fan movement on the cpu heatsink and depending on the mother board maker the number one case fan ( Asus for example)

Are you sure the CPU is seated correctly and there are no gaps ?

Is the power supply wattage correct for your configuration ?
Did you try an out of case bench test with the m/b, cpu, video, and memory before installing it in the case ?

No, I didn't try an out of case bench test. Don't know how to do that.

I'm going to reseat the CPU. If that doesn't work, I'll take it to a CPU store to have them look at it.

After that, I'll replace the part. I'll post back with the prob.

It might just be overheating. What heatsink are you using and what type of paste?

To do an out of case bench test.
Don't remove the cpu or heatsink.

Remove all the addin cards
Then remove the mother board
Place it on a non conductive material

Install your video card and connect it to a monitor
Connect a keyboard
Then connect the power cables to the main power connector and the cpu 4/8 pin

connect or jumper the power switch posts ( momentary )
This should give you a post and allow you access to the bios

From there if it doesn't work we can offer more assistance if needed

Thanx guys.

Did some bench tests at the store. Turns out the RAM sticks were faulty, and the mobo was bad.
Replaced them both.

Installing my operating system as I type.

Thanx,
