Just finished up building a new system consisting of an asus 570 sli mobo, amd am2 6000+, 3 gb or ram and two seagate 250GB barracuda hdd's. I go through the vista setup, enter the code, choose clean install. It goes through the licensing agreement then shows both hdd's on sata channels 2 and 3. Shows them as unallocated 232 gb of space but will not install on either. The message I get states that "This computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computers bios menu" I have checked this and the hdd is in the correct boot priority....I tried to search the forums before posting this question but did not find it, any and all help is really appreciated.
Check the Doc's on your mother board.
The two drives should be on the First sata channel
sata1 and sata2
Not on 2 and 3
Watch the pattern for the sata's
My asus is setup
sata1-sata2
sata4-sata3
Plug your drives into sata1 and sata2

Tried it that way, still get the same message, double checked mobo docs and verified that sata contoller is on, triple checked my bios settings...right now I kinda miss xp installs...lol
