Hi guys,
I'm into media editing & planning to buy a new assembled PC. After a research on Internet I'm stuck between two.

1. Intel Mother board: D975XBX2 (cost Rs 14,000) + Dual Core 3ghz. (Costs = Rs 4000)
2. Intel Mother board: DG965WH (cost Rs 6,800) + Core 2 Duo 2.13ghz, L2-4MB (Costs = Rs 9,500)

Click here - Motherboards comparison chart. (http://compare.intel.com/pcc/showchart.aspx?mmID=24744,22639&familyID=12&culture=en-US)

I can replace dual core with core2duo when prices come down, wouldn't it be right to replce processor instead of motherboard after things get obselete) But D975XBX2 doesn't have integrated graphics. What could be its solution & at what price?

Can you guys pls help out as in which will be more stable, fast & better choice?

Thanks

If you are doing media editing you would add a mid level graphics card anyway since integrated graphics utilizes system (shared) memory. The video card would go into the PCIe 16X slot.
I am somewhat biased since I have the DG965WH/C2D combo you show as choice 2.

What dual core processor are you using in choice 1?

I always go with Intel, So its Intel DualCore 3ghz i'll be using.
by the way how much does this PCI video card costs?
