I have a Brother MFC-7820N printer I would like to attach to my wireless network. Can someone suggest a wireless card that could plug into the ethernet slot on the printer.

That Brother printer has an Ethernet port built in.
I always suggest a wired connection for TCP/IP printing using a static address when installing a printer. It works faster and more reliably. Both wired and wireless connected PCs/laptops can print to the printer via the wireless router.
You simply run a Cat5 cable from the wireless router to the printer, and assign a static address in the router other than the gateway address (outside the DHCP range), then install the driver on each PC as local printers and TCP/IP porting.

I want to locate the printer aways from the router making it impractical to hardwire....about two rooms away. Thanks for you advice though.

Well there are also wireless network bridges that can pick up the wireless signal and connect to the printer via Ethernet, but note the price is higher than many wireless routers and they usually have to be set up using a wired connection before putting them on the network.

You can also get a second wireless router and use it in "bridge mode" if that is easier for you.

One viable option is the wireless print server. You attch the printer via USB to this small device and then you can have it connect to your network wirelessly. Setup would be largely the same if you ran a cable from your printer to the router, only your print server would get the IP instead.
