I replaced my Gateway notebook with a new dell.

I have no use for this notebook so I thought I'd move it into the kitchen and just leave it always plugged in and would install some type of recipe program on it and then also find a way to watch light TV on it while in the kitchen.

Is this possible.

This is an old 1.3 Ghz P4 w/ HT Gateway with a stock video card and runs Win XP Home SP2. It does have a wireless card so I have access to the net.

I can't hook it to the dish since I"m out of places to put it so my only option is to hook up rabbit ears and get regular free tv.

Any suggestions for this or is it even worth it?

It also does have a DVD Rom drive so we can even watch movies.

I guess the question is...is this worth it or would I be better of getting a cheap kitchen type TV?

I believe there are USB TV tuners out there that you can hook up an antenna to.

Heres one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815260002
