Speed Up of a PC

I have a computer running windows Xp and it's a Dell Optiplex CPU and has a RAM of 565MB and a HDD capacity of 10GB but it keeps freezing and loading slowly.
What do I need to do for it to run faster.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please post full system specs. Include the amount of free space on the hard drive.

Upgrade your RAM to 1GB or more, and buy a larger hard drive, 40GB or more.

Both together will cost you around 60 US.

Dude, if it's seriously old enough to have a 10GB hard drive, no amount of tweaking can save it!! Give up on that Windows installation! Wipe & restore. That's the only way to get the "zip" back on a system that old.
