Hi there.

Basically I have the situation where I have a wireless router running across the road, and I can get a wireless connection in the two rooms closest to the road. However, I have a PC one room over that i cannot move, and that requires a connection. Basically it looks kind of like this (very rough):

My main router is a Buffalo running DD-WRT, but I also have an older ASUS, also on DD-WRT. I was wondering if there was a way to use a combination of by PC in the house that has a connection, and my old router, to make a wireless repeater? e.g. I plug an ethernet cable from by PC's network card into the routers WAN port, fiddle with some settings, and use it like that?

Thanks for any help.

It is possible to do so if the two routers can speak to each other. You can do that or use range extender. Either way, your performance will lag. Can you move the router closer to the other computers?

No, thats not an option, since i have infrastructure running through walls and floors. Ill try setting up a wireless repeater.
