hey I need help. My problem is that i didn't activate windows (home edition) within the time limit and I turned off my computer. When I logged on it gave me a message asking if I wanted to activate yes or no. When i clicked yes it would say whatever and boot the backround then log me off. I already called a place and they said "that half of my computer thinks that it is registered and the other half isn't. then they told me that I need to change the registery to fix this problem" and that is where I'm stuc

here the other half I do all of this on my psp so I couldn't fit the rest of this on the post above. thanks in advance if you could help me before august 13th because I have school and I don't think that will be able to fix my (x86) computer. Also I have important stuff I need to get done on my computer before starts.

Your WinXP packaging tells you how to call them and activate by phone... It is quick and easy... You don't need to mess with the Registry...

Well "dude" then you need to be much clearer about what the problem is and communicate in plain English... From what you have said, the solution is to call Microsoft... If that is not what you are saying, then say it in a way that makes sense...

I also suggest you be a little less rude to people offering you help...
