Ok, this might be a dumb question. Is there anyone out there who can answer this for me? I am studying token rings, and have been told there is a limit in the number of MAUs (33) that can be attached to a ring. My question is why 33? Why not 30? or 15? or even 50 or more? Does it have to do with the limit of 260 stations (computers)and each MAU being able to connect up to eight of these stations? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

I appreciate your help on this, since I cannot find a reason for this 33-MAU-limit anywhere.

Thanks,
