2 Sound cards

Is there anything wrong with using two sound cards in one OS at the same time? They're both ancient, (1997 SB AWE64 and a 1999 Montego/Vortex II (AU8830)). I can only play one sound at a time with the AWE64 in NT4, so I decided to set it up so that winamp uses the SB AWE64 since it sounds better, and the MIDI mapping refers to the AWE64 as well. I configured NT4 to use just the Montego II card for everything else, (eg. system sounds, programs, etc.).

Just wondering if this will be safe stability wise.

yes, it should be fine, just make sure you're irq's are Set right, in bios
