I have been running a dual 450 mhz xeon setup on a supermicro s2dgu mainboard for about 3wks. now and now it will intermittently not post when the bios tries to enable the L2 cache only. If I turn the computer off and on about 2to3 times it finally enables the L2 caches and boots into operating system.I have replaced the power supply and have tried each processor one at a time for the same results(boot stops when the bios tries to enable L2 cache.I think the memory refresh circuitry or processor L2 enable circuit on the motherboard is faulty.Supermicro will repair the mainboard but does anyone know if my explanation is right?
