Morgan's problem...

I have a compaq presario v6000 laptop that i bought in may and untill now i've had no problems with it. A couple of weeks ago a recovery disk was sent to me from staples because i couldn't even bring windows up on it, but after i recovered it, it was fine, but now everything will start and everything will load but as soon as the wirless connection connects the computer will restart by it's self and when it comes back on it will do the same thing. I have tried everything that i could try i even called the compaq assistance hotline and they didn't help at all so i don't know what could be wrong with it someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I split your post of the previous thread, because it does not seem to be related nor an answer to the original poster's problem. I should probably move it to a different section, too, because your problem does not seem to be Mutlimedia related.

Also, we will need a few more details about your machine and its problem...

Disable the connection before it starts and see if you still get the reboot.

Recovery Settings
turn off the automatic reboot so you can actually see the error when it happens (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/russel_02may13.mspx).
