Incredimail and Vista

For months now, all Incredimail has to say on this issue is that it is not compatible, but they will be coming up with something soon. I'm not holding my breath.

In the meantime, I'm unable to access my voluminous and vital old mails. I found a program that will export Incredimail mail and contacts to other email clients, but I'll have to install it first.

1) Has anyone successfully installed and used Incredimail on their Vista system? and

2) Has anyone installed it and had problems? What kind of problems? What I need to know is if it will be safe for me to install the program just long enough to export my mail and contacts, then uninstall it.

Any advice?

Did you do an operating system upgrade that rendered your old Incredimail-compatible install unusable? Did you get rid of the old Incredimail-compatible computer? What is preventing you from running Incredimail now that wasn't there before?

You might try running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Otherwise you might just have to wait.
