computer hangs

i have a problem with my computer when i start computer some time it gives display and some some i have to reboot 2 or 3 time then it gives display after that when i start installation windows 98 or xp it hangs up when it start hardware configration.
is any body help me to solve this problem?

is any body help me to solve this problem?
