Can I use SDRAM in an older RDRAM board?

It's an old dell (dimension 8200)

No, it still would require Rambus.

RDRAM is a failed experiment...those who are stuck with that type of memory...good luck.

A friend of mine has a DELL, with RDRAM AND Windows ME!!!!

Talk about 3 strikes you're out!! :D

The funny thing is however, outside of his occasional errant ways roaming the internet unprotected with outdated A/V's etc., and getting infected, he has not had one bit of system trouble what-so-ever.

They still sell RDRAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=RDRAM&x=0&y=0) if you can afford it, but I don't have enough time to pan for the gold needed if I wanted some...

Can I use SDRAM in an older RDRAM board?Nah, slots are incompatible. All incompatible RAM has physically different slots. Besides, even if you tried, I'm sure you'd be able to see the difference between 168-pin and 184-pin! :p
