Kinda hard to describe in the topic. Is it possible to use my laptop to run a program, a game in this case, and use my desktop monitor, keyboard, and mouse to control it? Id really like to do this since my laptop has a much faster processor than my desktop, but my desktop has the better monitor & mouse/keyboard.

Im running with a RADEON 9000 PRO w/ DVI/VGA/S-Video inputs on the desktop, currently only using the VGA.

Laptop has some dell video card w/ female s-video and female vga.

Really wanna know if this is possible, thanks for your time :D

It is possible using a "docking station", but it is not a low cost option unless you buy one used (EBay).

A lot of laptops have an auxilary monitor/projector port that you can simply attach the monitor to. A lot also have an auxilary PS2 connector and/or USB ports. There are even Y-splitters that you can attach a PS2 mouse and keyboard through. It all depends on what's on the outside of the laptop - so what's the model?

The laptop is a dell inspiron 1405, it doesnt have any ps2 ports, which my keyboard is. Guess im going to need to buy ps2-usb converter or a new keyboard, right?

Just need a USB mouse (and keyboard). It has an auxilary monitor port and even a TV out if you wanted to use your TV as a monitor.
