I just got to the point where my pc had the same reoccuring spyware and stuff and just got fed up and decided to start clean. I wiped it out and reinstalled windows but can't find any of my drivers, or bios disk. Now I don't have an internet connection at all. Like when i go to network connections theres nothing even there, i'm guessing the computer isn't recognizing my ethernet card. I don't know the chipset of the mother board to find out what driver to download and can't find the mother board on MSI's website. Its an MSI K8T motherboard, and the box says the k8t800 chipset, but i'm guessing there were several k8t800's (k8t810,k8t811, ect or something like that) So what I'm asking is, do you think its definitely the drivers? maybe just bios? or could it be something different?

Incase more specs are needed on the motherboard.
Socket 754
1x AGP 3x PCI
I think it had 2 ddr slots
NO on-board video
on-board sound

- I could not find any motherboards on MSI fitting those specs

The first thing...it is a Via chipset, so get the Via chipset drivers, directly from here (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2)

It looks like it is the same LAN driver for all the versions, except the Neo-FSR, and the same for the audio drivers...

The driver isn't working. Is there any other reason I may not be connecting? Its a fresh install of Windows XP, I noticed it didn't do a network configuration during install like my HP provided windows disk did. When I go to my network connections there is nothing there and when I try to setup a new connection I dont get anything. I assume this driver has got to have something to do with, but unfortunately I lost my driver cd's and I'm not sure what to do now.

Did you even read my post and follow the link?

You need to install the Via chipset drivers, first...that will not install a driver for the onboard NIC, just the chipset.

Then, from the MSI site, grab the driver for the NIC...all the that series of boards use the same one...except the Neo-FSR. I didn't link to those because you had indicated you had found them...
