I have windows xp and IE 7 and 3.07 ghz but I have 1g of ram, where do I go to find out how much ram I have used? and would a another 1 gig of ram make my performance faster?

Probably...you may not notice a great improvement, unless you run several memory intensives apps at once, but the 'sweet spot' for XP seems to be 2 GBs.

press CTRL+ALT+DEL, goto your task manager, click on processes, and look in the MEM USAGE column, that's what you're using... it's always changing...
