Just got connected to Sky Broadband with a free Netgear router. I've got my PC connected up via ethernet and it works great. I also had my friend's 360 connected up as well and that worked fine. I tried getting my sister's PC working wirelessly upstairs using a Belkin Wireless Network Adapter. I came across some problems and fixed them by manually settings the Subnet Mask, Gateway, IP and DNS. The adapter software showed that it was connected to the router wirelessly (so did the router's admin software) but that the router wasn't connected to the net. I've also tried getting on with my PSP but it keeps on exchanging key information and timing out. What could the problem be? I've tried to use WZC but the Belkin software simply won't uninstall.

Hello ikettles and welcome to http://pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif
So you have two devices connected wired and they work fine and you are having trouble with two wireless devices. You also say the router shows it was not connected to the net. First make sure router settings allow wireless devices access. Next see if the wireless devices show in the routers wireless clients list. You are manually setting IP and DNS for this device but what are the router settings (DHCP on or off)?
Now for some specifics:
Netgear- what model?
Belkin-What model?
Sisters PC- What OS?
PSP- Can you get the MAC address?
As a side note, I have not had much luck with the one and only Belkin device I have used, nor have I had any intelligible help from their support. Try looking in the Belkin folder for "Uninstall".
