Hey!
For the past couple of days I've been experiencing a really annoying problem with my windows (XP). For some reason my screen freezes at different times and I am unable to operate anything after that. My mouse also goes unresponsive and I am unable to do anything. Additionally, attempting to reboot the computer using the reset switch will only turn the screen black as if it were rebooting, but nothing will happen. Holding down the power button when the screen freezes or after I've tried reset the system will not do anything however long I hold it down for. The only temporary solution I've found is pulling out the power cord, but that has become a really annoyance.
I'm using the following set
Intel Pentium 4, 1600 Mhz
512mb PC133 DIMM CL3 SDRam
Geforce 2 64mb MX 400 Graphics card
and a Windows XP SP2 OS.
The PC itself is 5-6 years old.
I'm wondering has anyone experienced similar problems and if anything can help me overcome and fix the problem.
Thanks.
